Cees Witteveen

Cees Witteveen is a seasoned researcher with expertise in designing, analyzing, and evaluating coordination algorithms in distributed systems with autonomous actors. He has an extensive publication record of over 200 refereed papers and journal articles in this domain. Moreover, he has led more than 15 research projects, collaborating with various universities and industries on topics such as plan coordination in multi-agent systems, plan diagnosis, incident management, hybrid computing, maintenance scheduling, and computational complexity.

Cees Witteveen holds a Master's degree in psychology & statistics, focusing on psychonomics and cognitive psychology, and a Ph.D. in Social Sciences/Computer Science, both earned from the University of Utrecht. His educational background has equipped him with a unique interdisciplinary perspective.

Professionally, Cees Witteveen currently serves as a Full Professor in Algorithmics at Delft University of Technology. He has held key roles in academia, including positions as an associate professor and teaching assistant at Delft University of Technology, and as an assistant professor and teaching assistant in statistics and methodology at the University of Utrecht.
