Cecilia van der Merwe

Cecilia van der Merwe is a highly accomplished engineer with a strong educational background and diverse professional experience. She holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from Stellenbosch University, where she also completed her Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) with Honors and another Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering cum laude at the University of Pretoria. Additionally, she has studied at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Cecilia has worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Aurecon and has held various positions within the organization. Prior to Aurecon, she served as an Electrical Engineer at the same firm. She has also worked as a Consultant and has gained valuable experience as a MeerKAT Infrastructure and Site Operations Support Engineer at SKA South Africa. Furthermore, Cecilia has a background as a Site Integration and Research Associate at SKA South Africa, as well as experience as a PBMR Fuel Handling and Storage System Engineer at Westinghouse Electric South Africa.
