Mark Lautman, CEcD, FM, HLM

Mark Lautman is a highly experienced economic developer, consultant, speaker, and author with a track record of success in designing and managing economic development programs that attract business locations and investments. With 27 years of experience in the field, Mr. Lautman has procured more than 80 corporate locations, generating more than 15,000 jobs, $11 billion in investments, and 6 million square feet of industrial space. As a founding director of the Community Economics Lab, a private not-for-profit think tank, he is an innovator of new approaches to economic development that work in a labor and capital constrained economy. He also runs a consulting practice under Lautman Economic Architecture LLC. Mr. Lautman is widely recognized as an authority in his field, having spoken at numerous conferences and authored the book "When The Boomers Bail: A Community Economic Survival Guide." He is a graduate of the University of New Mexico, where he studied Economics, Architecture, and Geography, and a former Peace Corps Volunteer.
