Jenny Bell is a New York City-based producer and director with a particular focus on character-driven stories that explore identity, culture, and social injustice. Bell's short documentaries have premiered on high-profile platforms such as National Geographic and Vimeo Staff Picks, and her multi-part projects include a series for Amazon Studios that accompanied the Todd Haynes' film Wonderstruck and a ten-part series highlighting New York City's subway musicians, distributed in its entirety with The Atlantic. With a passion for storytelling and documentary filmmaking, Bell studied photography and film at the Rhode Island School of Design before transferring to and graduating from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Prior to her work as a director, Bell spent fifteen years producing and production managing narrative feature films.
