Nikhil Pereira-Kamath is the founder, director, and CEO of Africa Healthcare Network, the largest renal care provider in East Africa. After graduating magna cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in economics and finance, Pereira-Kamath deferred his acceptance to Harvard Business School to pursue his passion for healthcare in Africa. In 2015, he left the MBA program to found Africa Healthcare Network, which aims to improve renal care and education in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Pereira-Kamath has worked with clinicians and governments to establish standards of care that rival those in the Western world. While building the company, he has remained committed to profitability and scalability, believing that private sector solutions can have positive social outcomes and build sustainable health systems. Before founding Africa Healthcare Network, Pereira-Kamath worked as an associate at Berkshire Partners and as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley. He was also an Endeavor entrepreneur and a member of the International Society of Nephrology’s Emerging Leaders Program.
