Florence Tan is a successful entrepreneur and engineer with over 30 years of experience in the tech industry. She co-founded CAD-IT Consultants in 1991, a global developer and system integrator for Product Lifecycle Management, Internet of Things, AI guided diagnostics and Service Lifecycle Management. Under her leadership, CAD-IT has won over 145 international awards, and employs close to 700 people across multiple countries. Tan's passion for engineering led to her earning a degree in Mechanical & Production Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and a Masters in Engineering Science from Queensland University of Technology.

Aside from her professional achievements, Tan has also made significant contributions to charity, education, and community outreach projects in Singapore and the region. She is an active member of the NTU Alumni and Book Committee, an advisor and sponsor of Cambodia Care Center, and co-founder of a $1M fund to promote engineering education, develop leadership potential, and finance student-initiated community projects.
