Plaid sits at the epicenter of a fintech explosion and is helping to govern the next generation of financial apps.

I focus on Data Engineering, helping connect maintain and develop data pipelines across Mongo, MySQL, Redshift, S3, Airflow, Spark, Golang, DBT, and more. We're working with incredibly interesting data at impactful sizes.

As the Technical Lead for numerous projects, I've played roles across product manager, project manager, operations analyst, user experience designer, QA, DBA, SRE, procurement, application data analyst, support, and architect.

I helped onboard and scale the data infrastructure team from just myself to now 14 engineers working across 4 teams, and collaborate and coordinate with folks across product, engineering, sales, marketing, business operations, growth, support, legal, risk, compliance, and to drive a data-first mindset at Plaid.

I joined Periscope to learn about explosive growth - how to scale a team, a product, and a company while they all continue to accelerate. I am super proud of how we tackle problems, drive projects, iterate quickly, and get great feedback from our customers.

I came in not knowing any of the tech stack. On my second day I shipped a SQL autocompleter. In my first week I wrote a SQL formatter. In my first month I helped re-write our entire data processing engine. I touched all parts of the product and architecture, helped define our roadmap, and even served a stint as Editor-in-Chief of the Periscope Blog.

Working with both engineering and research teams to implement Spark programs for analyzing semi-structured data.

Intern - Scalable Data Science

Analyzing programming methodologies of introductory computer science students. We extracted features from the program syntax, built clusters of students, and tracked the evolution of students as they progressed through the course.
