As Engineering Team Lead, I’ve led the data team on Kognia Sports, a startup providing real-time and post-match tactical analysis of football matches.

The data team is a multidisciplinary team, focused on producing football insights, and delivering these to our final users.

This includes video processing, data pipelines, data science and analytics, and internal tools development.

As Head of Data, I’ve led the data engineering and machine learning efforts on Grupo Hotusa, a tourism and travel corporation. Building a multidisciplinary team from scratch, focused on helping different business units, making the most of their data, and optimizing decision-making processes.

Development of machine learning algorithms to drive automated revenue management.

Design of the data infrastructure, to enable processing business data at scale, as well as providing real-time analysis and product insights.

As Head of Data, I’ve managed and worked side by side with a team of engineers on software engineering, machine learning, and big data areas, reporting directly to the CEO.

Design of internal and external reporting infrastructure, to enable ongoing performance analysis, as well as provide post-campaign insights.

Development of machine learning algorithms to drive automated pricing and high-frequency bidding on real-time auctions, able to run at scale.

I’ve worked as a Software engineer reporting directly to the CTO, participating in architecture and feature design.

I’ve also invested time in working on analytical tasks in diverse areas like user behavior, churn rate, A/B testing, and conversion funnels, to improve decisions based on data and to address problems affecting the platform.

I worked as a Software engineer on the machine learning and computer vision team. Development and integration of new different algorithms related to camera calibration, pose estimation, stereography, texture alignment, etc.

I also worked as a Tech Lead of the web development team, reporting directly to the CEO. We redesigned and rebuilt the platform from the ground up.
