David Freeman

David Freeman is an experienced legal professional who currently works as the Chief Legal Counsel of the Simon Management Group, a subsidiary of Simon Property Group, one of the largest retail real estate companies in the world. With a wealth of expertise in the legal field, Freeman oversees all legal matters within the subsidiary, including acquisitions, asset management, joint ventures, and development.

Freeman has a long-standing career in the legal industry, starting with his position as a law clerk for two judges in the U.S. Court of Appeals. He later joined the international law firm, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he worked for over a decade and became a partner in the firm's real estate group. Prior to joining Simon Property Group, Freeman served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary for the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation.

With his extensive background in real estate law, Freeman is a sought-after expert in the industry. He has spoken on numerous panels and conferences, and has written several articles on various legal topics.
