Catalina Laverde, a technology professional with over seven years of experience in developing and scaling large software applications, is working as a staff software engineer at Spotify. She studied computer science at Bergen Community College and Rutgers University and holds an Executive Master of Science in Technology Management from Columbia University. Catalina is a strategic engineering leader and public speaker, advocating for underrepresented communities and women. She founded and served as a co-founder of Civic Action Network and was a part of the leadership team of NY Women in Tech. Before joining Spotify, she worked as a research assistant at Rutgers University and as a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University. Catalina strongly believes in inclusive organizations that promote diversity and help foster collaborative work environments.
