Youngmi Howe is an accomplished and versatile designer with a wealth of experience across multiple industries and regions. She has spent eight years developing her expertise in end-to-end design, including user research, business case framing, user-centered design, illustration, visual design, front-end coding, and delivering finished assets. Youngmi is classically trained in fine art and has worked for both small and large companies. Her background encompasses enterprise-facing products and customer-facing applications across the US, Mexico, and South Korea.
With specialties spanning creative direction, data-driven solutions, agile project management, and more, Youngmi is truly a jack-of-all-trades. She can guide design concepts, perform competitive analysis, develop user journey maps, build prototypes and lead workshops with ease. Her background in illustration, visual design, and animation also make her a valuable asset for companies requiring motion graphics, 3D modeling or iconography.
Youngmi's educational background is equally impressive, having earned a Master of Arts in Multimedia - Interaction Design from California State University - East Bay, an Interaction Design Program Certificate and a Master of Fine Arts in Interaction Design from Kookmin University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Media Design - UX Design track from Hongik University. She also studied computer and information sciences, general at De Anza College.
Currently, Youngmi works as a Lead Product Designer at Walmart, and before that she served as Senior Product Designer for Walmart International and Google Play Store for Google. She has also held UX/UI designer positions for various companies, including Perfect World Entertainment, StoryPop, Tapas Media Inc., and more. Youngmi is also a former Fine Art Instructor at Changjo ui Achim.
