Colleen McGannon
Colleen McGannon is a highly experienced academic and nonprofit professional with a background in molecular genetics, biochemistry, and microbiology. She has a BS in biology from Ashland University and a PhD from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Throughout her career, she has worked tirelessly to support the implementation of high-quality educational opportunities for K-12 students in out-of-school time (OST) settings. She has held several roles in nonprofit organizations, including team leader, AmeriCorps teaching fellow, and state data coordinator at Citizen Schools. Additionally, she has served as a state data support and evaluation specialist for the federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) grant in New Mexico and as a volunteer data consultant for local OST nonprofits. Colleen is passionate about providing access and skill-building opportunities for middle school students, overseeing data entry and accuracy, and training staff who traditionally aren't data-minded to use information to identify both best practices and growth areas.
