Jim Scott is a highly accomplished chemist and manager with a proven track record of successfully leading research and development projects from concept to manufacturing through final production stages. With a background in biosensors, chemical synthesis, clinical diagnostics, reagent design, method development, and quality control, Jim has made significant contributions throughout his career in the biotech industry. He is an excellent communicator, team player, and individual contributor with expertise in both domestic and international markets. Jim's analytical skills, creativity, and innovative spirit make him an asset to any organization.

Jim completed a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry and a B.Sc. in Chemistry, both from Queen's University Belfast. He also studied Organic Electrochemistry at Clarkson University as a Postdoctoral Associate. Jim has held various positions in different companies, including AgaMatrix, ESA Biosciences, Abbott Diabetes Care, MediSense, Bayer Diagnostics, and Technicon Instruments Corporation, where he was scientist, senior scientist, project scientist, and senior staff scientist, all before becoming a research manager. He has liaised with manufacturing, sourced external vendors, and coordinated regulatory data collection to facilitate the successful launch of various products with international market share.
