Dr. Ng King Kang, also known as Kang Ng, is a multi-talented media personality, journalist, author and lyricist based in Singapore. With over three decades of experience in the media industry, Kang Ng is known for his exceptional talent in storytelling and has earned a reputation as one of the most respected journalists in the country. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and then went on to complete a master’s degree in Mass Communication from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and a PhD from Deakin University (Geelong, Australia).

Kang Ng is a prolific writer, having authored twenty books, two of which are in English. His writing has earned him recognition, including mention by Singapore's Prime Minister, Mr Lee Hsien Loong, at the National Day Rally 2012. In addition to his writing, Kang Ng is also a talented lyricist and has penned hundreds of Chinese songs since the mid-eighties. His songwriting credits include works for established performers such as Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau, Arron Kwok, Stephanie Sun, Tanya Chua, and Eric Moo, among many others. Kang Ng also sings and has recorded four albums to date.

Apart from his work in the creative arts, Kang Ng is a seasoned journalist and currently serves as a Senior Correspondent for Singapore Press Holdings' Lianhe Zaobao. He was formerly the Managing Editor of ZBBZ, 早报.报志, another publication by Singapore Press Holdings. Kang Ng's diverse portfolio of work is a testimony to his passion for storytelling and his dedication to excellence.
