Luis Outon is a highly accomplished researcher in the field of artificial intelligence and is currently affiliated with the Google Brain Team. He has held significant positions in prestigious organizations such as the University of Cambridge and UC Berkeley Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences, from which he earned the Heising-Simons Postdoctoral Fellowship. His work has been recognized globally, having established the current world record in the efficiency of thermo-photovoltaic engines and led an innovative solar energy project that was featured on the cover of Science Magazine with over 300 citations.
With over 13 published articles and a patented photovoltaic technology under his name, Outon has spoken about his research at 10 international conferences, and has supervised 2 PhD projects and 5 Master’s theses. As an intern, he has worked with University of Oxford and University of Bristol, proving his ability to work with different academic institutions.
Outon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the Universidad de Salamanca and a Doctor of Philosophy in Experimental Physics from the University of Cambridge. He remains active in research and continues to contribute to both the scientific and technological fields of study, constantly innovating and pushing boundaries.
