Gerald Lawyer is a tax and estate planning attorney with a focus on reducing income and estate tax and deferral. After five years of active-duty military service, Lawyer has devoted approximately 25 years to the insurance and financial planning industries. He has a JD and an LL.M in estate planning, and has become a specialist in using insurance products for business and personal tax planning. Along with his private placement insurance expertise, Lawyer's scope of knowledge covers domestic and international applications for these products, as well as assisting individuals and companies in becoming Puerto Rican residents, offshore asset protection planning, captive insurance companies, individual tax planning, and charitable planning. Lawyer has completed multiple certification programs such as, ChFC, CLU, and CFP, and studied Spanish and Portuguese while earning a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He currently serves as the Principal at the Law Office of Gerald R. Nowotny, PLLC, and previously served as Principal at Long Gray Line Consulting LLC.
