Aaron Lacey is a well-respected attorney with a prestigious background in higher education law and policy. He is currently the Partner & Chair of the Higher Education Practice at Thompson Coburn LLP, where he leads a team of legal experts to help postsecondary institutions navigate complex legal and regulatory matters. Aaron is also the Editorial Director of REGucation, the firm's blog that covers higher education law and policy. Prior to his current position, he served as the Primary Negotiator for the U.S. Department of Education "Borrower Defense" Rulemaking and as the Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Strategic Development at Vatterott College.

Aaron holds multiple degrees from top-tier institutions, including a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from Duke University and a J.D. and Certificate in Law and Business Program from Vanderbilt University Law School.
