Chris Romer
Chris Romer is a seasoned finance and education professional who has made it his mission to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the energy sector. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Project Canary, a mission-driven company that is dedicated to helping the energy supply chain reduce methane and other fugitive gas emissions through continuous monitoring and a trusted certification process. Romer's expertise spans diverse areas, including energy policy, renewable energy financing, and higher education innovation.
Prior to his work at Project Canary, Romer co-founded Guild Education, where he helped several Fortune 500 partners and top universities offer education as a benefit to employees. In addition, he also co-founded American Honors, a community college 2+2 program. Romer has also served as a Colorado state senator, where he focused on energy policy, higher education innovation, and improving access and quality of K12 education.
Romer has an excellent educational background, having studied economics at Stanford University, where he graduated with distinction - placing in the top 10% of his class. He has used his knowledge to help provide mentoring programs and scholarship funds for at-risk students through the Colorado I Have a Dream Foundation and the Colorado Children's Campaign.
