Bali Raghavan is a technology leader with over 20 years of experience in various roles with increasing leadership responsibilities. Raghavan has demonstrated success in scaling teams and taking new ideas from concept to production. He has been a part of cutting-edge technology solutions that impact millions of customers and has built high-performance teams.
Raghavan's journey started with a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Bangalore University, and he later studied for a Master of Science, also in Computer Science, at North Carolina State University. He began his professional journey at Siemens as an intern and worked at Lucent Technologies and Spectrum Software as a software engineer before moving on to Amazon.
During his 12 years at Amazon, Raghavan was responsible for two game-changing initiatives, Amazon's algorithmic pricing engine and the Just Walk Out experience that made Amazon Go possible. He spearheaded technology innovations for Amazon Go from ideation to prototyping and production, leading to the launch of their first store in December 2016. After Amazon, Raghavan became the VP of Engineering at Opendoor and later the Head of R&D at Forward.
At Forward, Raghavan is working with a world-class team of engineers, product managers, designers, doctors, and business leaders to define the future of healthcare. His role at Opendoor involved creating an engineering powerhouse in a traditionally non-technical industry, real estate. Opendoor's mission is to empower everyone with the freedom to move by making buying and selling homes seamless, simple, and stress-free.
