Greg Drayer is a self-motivated and teamwork-oriented engineer and product manager with a passion for supporting the booming aerospace industry worldwide. Drayer has an impressive background, including a doctorate in electrical and computer engineering with a minor in aerospace engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he also completed the Sam Nunn Security Program of the School of International Affairs. As a former doctoral student, Drayer gained extensive experience in Aerospace Systems Engineering, Autonomous Control of Robotic Systems, Spacecraft Design, and Cognitive Engineering, among others.

Drayer's current role is at MathWorks, where he supports efforts to expand applications of Model-Based Design in aerospace. Drayer works closely with the sales and development teams on system architecture design, modeling and simulation, automatic code generation, verification and validation, among other areas. He particularly focuses on expanding workflows for spacecraft mission analysis and design, flight control analysis, and high-fidelity aerodynamic modeling with MATLAB & Simulink.

His doctoral research focused on situation awareness in the operation of space-bound life support systems, including the integration of humans & automation toward the operation of small-scale closed-loop environmental systems on Earth and in space. Throughout his career, Drayer has received numerous accolades, including being one of 41 scholars awarded worldwide by the Fulbright Science and Technology Program in 2009.

Drayer is a Senior Member of both the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and was naturalized as a US citizen in 2017.
