Abhijit Mitra is a highly accomplished principal data scientist at IBM, with a focus on Quantum Computing, Classical AI, and Deep Learning techniques, which he applies to industrial problems in Chemicals, Petroleum, and Industrial Products. Before transitioning to Quantum Computing and AI, he was an esteemed evangelist in the Artificial Intelligence landscape, specializing in Reinforcement Learning. Mitra is also one of the founding architects of Canadian Production and revenue Accounting and has extensive experience in leading and playing senior roles in large SAP programs. He is well versed in program management, SAP, PRA, JVA, resources, mobility, procurement, and leadership.

Mitra was a national scholar in India and earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Jadavpur University in Electronics and Telecommunication, and also studied radio and quantum physics.
