Alexander Atallah is a successful entrepreneur, software developer, and co-founder of OpenSea.io, a decentralized marketplace for crypto collectibles. He attended Fairview High School before studying Computer Science at Stanford University and Bing Overseas Study Program, Cyber/Computer Forensics and Counterterrorism at the University of Oxford. Atallah has a diverse background in technology, having worked for Apple as a Systems Engineer, Palantir Technologies as a Forward Deployed Engineer, and as the CTO of hostess.fm, Whatsgoodly Inc., and Zugata. He also built sentiment analysis software for hedge funds, which helped net $2 million in one week.
Atallah has an extensive track record of winning hackathons, including the Salesforce $1Million Hackathon, Meteor Hackathon, and the Philz 2015 Hackathon. He also won the company-wide Palantir Hackweek twice in 2012 and 2013. At the TechCrunch Disrupt Hackathon in 2017, Atallah built and presented Wificoin, a proof-of-concept blockchain-based platform.
In addition to his work experience, Atallah has been actively involved in a variety of organizations, acting as an advisor at Blockrize and co-founder at Dormlink. He has also held positions such as the Lead Frontend Engineer at Zugata, and Data Visualization Engineer at The Trade Partnership, and Webmaster at WOW! Children's Museum.
