Cathy Atkinson

Cathy Atkinson has built an impressive career in the international publishing industry, with a focus on providing educational solutions to teachers and learners. With eighteen years of experience in Asia Pacific, as well as the UK and US markets, Cathy is a creative and innovative thinker who is also commercially astute. Cathy holds an MBA in Business from Oxford Brookes University, where she also earned her MA in Publishing with a Distinction. Her undergraduate degree is in English from the University of Leeds.

Cathy has held a variety of positions in the publishing industry over the years, including her current role as a Freelance Publishing Manager at Scholastic. Prior to this, she was the Publishing Director (Literacy) at Scholastic, the Associate Publisher of Acquisitions at Marshall Cavendish, the Publishing Director at Boardworks Ltd, and an Editorial Assistant at Harcourt Education.

In her roles, Cathy has developed and delivered educational solutions in international markets, demonstrating her strong skills in project management, market research, and cross-functional team management. She is an expert in content development, product management, and business development in the education sector.
