Catherine Fortney brings a wealth of legal knowledge and experience to her current role as Executive Legal Administrative Assistant at Venable LLP. With a background in Government Affairs, Political Law, Healthcare law, Employment Law, Legislative Advocacy, and Litigation, Catherine is a versatile legal professional.

She studied Business Administration and Management, General at the prestigious University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business and holds a degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Villanova University.

Prior to joining Venable LLP, Catherine has held various roles in different organizations. She previously served as Legal Executive Assistant, Government Affairs at Arnall Golden Gregory LP, Executive Administrative Assistant at Medtronic, Administrator, Government Affairs at Peabody Energy, and Director of Membership and Administrative Services (Volunteer) at Healthcare Nutriton Council.

Catherine has also worked as Paralegal at Knight, Manzi, Nussbaum & LaPlaca, PC, and Legal Executive Assistant, Government Affairs at Polsinelli Shughart PC.
