We allied with the biggest financial group in Romania and become Coltronix Europe Corp. However, the financial crisis in the summer of 2000 and image problems made everyone decide the best was to part ways. We made the first Romanian browser, first online mall, first online portal, first web e-mail service in Romania.

Coltronix Ltd. was a small ISV (independent software vendor) turned offshore center. Our growth attracted the attention of local financiers so we embarked on becoming Coltronix Europe Corp. (see next).

First Romanian radio station in R. Moldova (a sensitive issue in a country that went through civil war and split apart because of conflicts between pro-Romanians and pro-Russians). Political problems prevented us to go live but we were able to exit without losing money.

We were the first authorized dealer for Microsoft in R. Moldova, pioneering paid software in a country empty of any real legal enforcement. Doubled the proposed sales targets as received from Microsoft, then doubled the results.

CEPsoft Distribution Corp.

Columbia EuroPartner Corp. aka CEP was a Rank Xerox distributor in R. Moldova, even tho we belonged to the Romanian representative of Rank Xerox (the name of Xerox in Europe and MENA region, due to their partnership with British company The Rank Organisation). I grew the business from zero to being the premier distributor in R. Moldova (and receiving the best new distributor award at X-mas '94 ceremony).

I was a reporter on the social affairs; shared desk (and co-signing articles) with Dan Diaconescu (of later OTV fame and infamy). Still remember coming very early morning on the 1st day of Operation Desert Storm, finding literally hundreds of meters of fax and telex paper all over the place.I quit next day after the Publisher told us our newspaper is the unofficial mouthpiece of the government.
