Cat Dymond is an honors graduate of Harvard College, where she was an Anthropology concentrator. She attended Lynn Public Schools and was able to attend Harvard due to the generosity of the Commonwealth’s Christian A. Herter Memorial Scholarship for students with difficult personal circumstances, high financial need and strong academic promise. <br><br>While at Harvard, she would walk through the Dexter Gate everyday: "Enter to grow in wisdom" is written on the Mass Ave side; "Depart to serve better thy country and thy kind" is what one sees as one leaves. She took this to heart, and has leveraged her education to promote effective and responsible social services policies and programs for children and families, primarily in the fields of public health, housing and homeless services, art therapy and special education. She is on the Board of Health for the Town of Andover, the Board of Directors for the Harvard Club of Merrimack Valley, and the Advisory Board of Family Services of the Merrimack Valley.<br><br>She believes in getting up if you’re knocked down, the duty of civic engagement, and teaching self-advocacy. A writer, connector, and creative problem solver, she lives in Andover with her two sons, Alexander and Marcos (Phillips Exeter Academy ’15, UChicago '19). <br><br>Specialties: Communications, Strategic Planning, Community/ Government Relations, Policy & Program Management and Evaluation, Social Media, Health Care, Special Education and Art Therapy
