Cassini Nazir
Designer of conversations, curricula, and interfaces
Cassini Nazir is a design educator at UT Dallas and the Director of the ATEC Usability Lab. Previously held the position of Director of Design at the ArtSciLab, a research lab focusing on the convergence of arts, sciences, and technology.
Education-wise, Cassini Nazir pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Arts and Technology at The University of Texas at Dallas, and completed a BA in Literature from the same institution. Additionally, studied Classics at The University of Texas at Austin (MA, not completed), Economics, and underwent summer study in ancient Greek literature and Pre-Raphaelite poetry and art at University of Oxford.
Diverse organizational background includes roles such as Director of the Pda Program at University Of North Texas, Clinical Associate Professor at both University Of North Texas and The University Of Texas At Dallas, Designer-In-Residence for the Master Of Arts In Design And Innovation at Southern Methodist University, and various positions at The University Of Texas At Dallas, including Director of Research And Design at Artscilab, Clinical Assistant Professor, Visiting Assistant Professor, Web Developer, Web Coordinator, and Website Specialist. Prior to academia, worked as a Designer at Echelon Internet Systems.
