Cassie Deskus

Cassie Deskus, a magna cum laude graduate of New York University School of Law, has an impressive range of experience in law, technology, and finance. She holds a MS in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University and a BS in Math from the University of Chicago. As a Judicial Law Clerk at the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, Deskus gained firsthand knowledge of the inner workings of the legal system. She also served as an Assistant Special Counsel & Excelsior Service Fellow at the New York State Executive Chamber, where she honed her skills in research, analysis, and policy development. Deskus has worked as a research assistant for several NYU Law professors, including Anne Milgram and Rachel Barkow. During her time at Capital One as a Senior Business Analyst, Deskus dealt with banking data and customer experience data. She has also worked as a software engineer at McMaster-Carr, one of the world's largest distributors of industrial products. In addition to her legal and technical skills, Deskus has experience in education, having served as a Junior Tutor at the University of Chicago. She is also interested in technology and policy, and has worked on projects related to the intersection of law and technology.
