She conducted her undergraduate thesis on the use of ketamine and dimethyltryptamine (DMT) for treating nicotine withdrawal in a planarian addiction model.

    Cassandra is intrigued by the therapeutic applications of psychedelics and hopes to connect with like-minded researchers in this area. She is also enthusiastic about delving deeper into the biochemical interactions underlying behavior in mammals, with a special focus on humans and companion animals.

    Aside from her academic pursuits, Cassandra has experience working as a Pharmacy Assistant at Pharmasave Midhurst Pharmacy and previously held positions as a Stablehand at Maple Haven Equestrian Centre and as a Supervisor at The Royal Pets Hotel & Spa.
