Casey Mahoney is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Pennsylvania in Political Science, with a focus on International Relations. He holds a B.A. in Russian and Political Science from Middlebury College and an M.A. in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. His research interests revolve around alliances and military technology. He is a Next Generation National Security Leadership Fellow at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).
In his previous roles, Casey Mahoney has gained experience working with prestigious organizations like the United States Department of Defense, where he served as the Country Director for Jordan. He has also worked in various capacities at institutions such as the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). His experiences include roles as a Research Assistant, Fellow, and Graduate Associate, focusing on nonproliferation policies, arms control, and nuclear monitoring.
With a strong academic background complemented by extensive hands-on experience, Casey Mahoney has contributed to various projects related to international relations, nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and security policies.
