    Carson Smith is a community-based researcher with a special focus on conflict resolution strategies, indigenous communities, and legal/sociological studies. He is known for his work in centring Indigenous/Native American communities in the conversation.

    Carson holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Socio-Legal Research from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a major in Political Science and a minor in Native American Studies from Stanford University.

    Throughout his career, Carson has been involved in various organizations and roles, including being a Rotary Global Scholar at Rotary International, co-founding an Indigenous Discussion/Research Group at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford, and serving as a Research Fellow at Columbia Law School.

    Carson has also contributed significantly to teaching and curriculum development. He has been a Teaching Partner and Curriculum Developer for Indigenous Conflict Resolution Courses at Stanford University's Hasso Plattner Institute of Design and has previously interned at the U.S. Department of State and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, among other roles.

    His passion for social justice and indigenous arts is evident through his diverse experiences, ranging from being a Social Justice Programming Coordinator at Stanford University to an Indigenous Arts Curatorial Intern at Cantor Arts Center.
