Carroll Hood, a formally trained scientist, systems engineer, and enterprise architect, has over 30 years of experience in Environmental Information System Development and Operations. Hood is an accomplished leader, adept in managing and integrating Systems and Software Engineering activities while adhering to enterprise-wide Strategic Planning. Moreover, Hood is an expert in leveraging Enterprise Architecture for environmental system of systems and cyberinfrastructures.
Hood has led teams of scientists and engineers towards a collaborative and shared vision that is consistent with mission-related objectives. He has implemented all phases of the Environmental Life Cycle Data Management from planning, collection, processing, dissemination through analytics, exploitation, and decision support. With his experience, he adjudicates the Science/Engineering and the Academic/Governmental/Private Sector interfaces smoothly.
