Caroline Thompson is a seasoned qualitative research professional with over 25 years of experience in delivering insightful research to shape strategy. She holds a BA in Economics and Business from Trinity College, Dublin, and has studied at Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, extensively.
Caroline is passionate about understanding what matters to people and what resonates with them. Her focus is on discovering how brands can delight their consumers through great products, services, and experiences while identifying what will strengthen and differentiate their competitive proposition. She has brought her expertise to various industries, including FMCG, travel, retail, disability, and inclusion, regulated and charity markets.
With her accomplished associate network, Caroline leads teams of senior consultants who specialize in brand development, behavioral economics, quantitative surveys, market analysis, and consulting. She is comfortable with a range of qualitative methodologies, and combines them with quantitative research where necessary. Caroline's unique blend of research expertise helps her clients elevate their customer centricity by understanding the nuances of what makes a consumer experience best in class.
Caroline has held various senior positions at The Harris Research Center, Taylor Nelson Sofres, Reflexions Market Research, Large Smith & Walford, WZM Inc, Valin Pollen Corporate and Financial Communications, and Bain & Company, where she was an Associate Consultant.
In her role as Qualitative Insights Director - Agency Proprietor at Caroline Thompson Associates, Research & Consulting, Caroline is a self-starter and commercially minded. Her debriefs are engaging and empower teams to take decisions with confidence, from operational to C-suite stakeholders. She is comfortable with business development and building strong client relationships.
