Caroline Ross, MPA, is a dedicated professional with a rich background in strategic development, partnerships, and programming aimed at fostering equity and justice within systems.
She excels in innovative financing, collective impact, and community-based solutions, making her a sought-after expert in transforming organizations for positive change.
In her role as the Director of Innovation and Impact at Catalyst @ Penn GSE, Caroline spearheads impact strategy and portfolio development to support education entrepreneurs and systems leaders in promoting equity and evidence in education.
Before her tenure at Catalyst, she offered her expertise as a consultant on a range of critical issues such as legal system and juvenile justice, education, housing, and early childhood matters to reputable national and international organizations including the University of Utah, the Urban Institute, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Ford Foundation.
Caroline Ross holds a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) with a focus on Public and Non-Profit Management and Policy from NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
Further enriching her educational background, she studied Education and Social Change in Durban, South Africa, at the School for International Training.
Throughout her career, Caroline has held various key positions, including Director of Innovation and Impact, Senior Director, and Director at Sorenson Impact, as well as Research Associate at The Urban Institute and Fellow at the South African Education Project (SAEP).
Her diverse professional journey also includes roles as a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at New York University, Program Assistant at the Center for Court Innovation, and AmeriCorps Member at City Year, showcasing her expansive experience and commitment to making a positive impact.
