Owned by private equity company, H.I.G., NCI has 3,000 employees and offers services in agile digital transformation, advanced intelligence, cybersecurity and information assurance, engineering and logistics, as well as fraud, waste and abuse detection.


Hired as a consultant to turn around a poorly-performing talent acquisition function; after six months, NCI asked me to serve as the vice president, talent to affect change in (or initiate) the following departments: talent acquisition, workforce planning & analytics, talent management, learning & development, and the human resources information systems.

Talent Management and Workforce Planning

During my tenure, Lockheed was a F50 global aerospace & defense contractor with 138,000 employees in over 20 countries and revenues of $42B.

Established centralized executive (top two compensation bands) recruiting program to include strategy and execution, people, processes, governance, metrics, change management, and implementation of data management system:

Through direct recruiting, we dramatically improved the quality of executive hires in the areas of  high-potential nominations, increased diversity and decreased attrition; 

Achieved 98% customer satisfaction identified through direct surveys of internal clients; and

Designed executive talent mobility program integrating external and internal initiatives;

The function is still intact with the original team ten years after my departure.

Designed and implemented non-executive military recruiting program; within one year of start-up company’s ranking moved from no mention to fourth in GI Jobs magazine’s national ranking of military friendly companies.

Turned around floundering non-executive strategic staffing sourcing program enabling critical and cleared skills pipeline sourcing, and cross-corporation sharing of staffing best practices, information and resources.

Member of corporate task force addressing employee retention issues and the development of engagement and retention programs.

Conducted all aspects of senior- and mid-level global executive recruitment across all functions and within a variety of industries including: state and municipal governments, apparel and retail, media, finance, healthcare, technology, air and rail transportation, and energy.
