Caroline Bader

Caroline Bader is an outpatient geriatric psychiatrist and the associate medical director of the geriatric psychiatry clinic at McLean Hospital, specializing in general psychiatric care for older adults, dementia management, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.

Caroline's expertise includes managing behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia, palliative care, and she serves as the embedded geriatric psychiatrist at a local memory care facility in partnership with McLean Hospital.

Caroline Bader is dedicated to teaching and promoting an interest in geriatric psychiatry among trainees. She is deeply involved in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the field.

Caroline holds a BA in Neuroscience and French from Bowdoin College. She pursued her medical education at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completed her Psychiatry Residency Program, and further specialized in Geriatric Psychiatry Residency Program at Harvard Medical School.

Previously, Caroline held positions at McLean Hospital as the Associate Medical Director and Staff Psychiatrist. She also served as an Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and worked as a Medical Student at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Caroline has experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital and as a Research Assistant Intern at Alkermes.
