Carol Kourouma is an educator with a keen passion for nurturing and empowering young minds and is currently working towards a Master of Divinity degree. With a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching from City University of New York-Hunter College and a Bachelor's degree in Criminology from City University of New York-John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Carol has a strong educational background. Carol is the founder of Salt Games, a Christian gaming studio dedicated to providing access and opportunities for youth of color to explore game development and break barriers. Outside of the gaming industry, Carol is also the owner of AfroGem BeautyWorld LLC. Previously, Carol has held positions at various organizations, including as a former teacher at the NYC Department of Education, a former Human Resources Intern at Harlem Children's Zone, and a former sales associate at White House Black Market.
