Carol D'Amico is a prominent figure in higher education, known for her extensive experience in reforming education systems to facilitate students' transition from academia to the professional world. With a rich background as a former community college chancellor and U.S. Assistant Secretary for Adult and Vocational Education, she has been at the forefront of developing and executing strategies aimed at bridging the gap between education and employment. Carol is a co-author of 'Workforce 2020,' a seminal work outlining the demographic trends shaping the future U.S. workforce and the requisite adaptations for American workers to thrive in the global economy. Currently, she leads Strada Education Network's initiatives focused on enhancing education-to-career pathways for individuals of all ages and stages of learning. Carol has also served on various influential boards and committees, including the Institute for Education Sciences, the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity, and the National Assessment Governing Board. She holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree with a specialization in Higher Education Administration from Indiana University Bloomington.
