Carol Craig

Carol Craig is the Founder and CEO of Sidus Space, Inc., a company that specializes in satellite manufacturing and space-related solutions. Under her leadership, Sidus Space became the first female-founded space-based company to go public, listing on NASDAQ on December 14, 2021.15

Background and Education

Before her entrepreneurial ventures, Craig had a distinguished career as a U.S. Navy officer, where she was one of the first women eligible to fly combat aircraft. She served as a P-3C Orion Naval Flight Officer, responsible for tactical communication and navigation.12

Craig holds a BA in Computer Science from Knox College, a BS in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Illinois, and a MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Systems Engineering at the Florida Institute of Technology.23

In addition to her role at Sidus Space, Craig founded Craig Technical Consulting, Inc. in 1999, which provides engineering and technology services. Carol Craig is married to CAPT John W. Craig, USN (RET), and they have two children. She is also the founder of the Danny Craig Foundation, which supports research into children's medical disorders, inspired by her son's diagnosis with Prader-Willi Syndrome.13
