Carlos Miranda is the General Partner and CEO of X8 Investimentos, a Brazilian growth capital fund management company focused on high-growth businesses that aim to improve social, environmental, and economic conditions in Brazil. Educational Background
Carlos holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from IBMEC-RJ, where his dissertation focused on "Competencies of the Entrepreneur in a Developing Organization." Additionally, he has an MBA in Finance from the same institution and a degree in Architecture and Urbanism. He also attended the Kellogg Executive Management and Strategy program at Northwestern University in Chicago, USA.13

Before founding X8 Investimentos, Carlos spent 21 years at Ernst & Young (EY), where he specialized in Corporate Finance and Management Consulting. He became a partner there and led the Transaction Advisory Services division for Brazil from 1998 to 2010. His extensive experience includes working on significant investments across various regions, including the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.12

Carlos Miranda has been recognized as one of the "100 Leaders Changing Business in Brazil" by HSM. He is actively involved in several initiatives, including serving on the Monitoring Committee of the ABVCAP-ANBIMA Code of Regulation and Best Practices for Private Equity Funds (FIPs), mentoring for Endeavor, and participating on the Advisory Board of Anjos do Brasil.13 Under his leadership, X8 Investimentos aims to invest in companies that not only show rapid growth but also have a significant social or environmental impact.
Personal Interests
Outside of his professional life, Carlos is passionate about running and has completed several major marathons around the world, including those in Paris, New York, Chicago, London, and Boston. His goal is to complete all six major marathons.13
