Carlos Jensen is a higher education administrator and innovator, currently leading the Educational Innovation efforts at UC San Diego.
He is involved in a wide range of research interests including software engineering, testing, HCI, privacy, open source software, online communities, CSCW, computer education, inclusion & diversity in technology, inclusion and diversity in higher education, online learning, and higher education.
Carlos Jensen completed his Ph.D. at Georgia Institute of Technology, his BS at SUNY Brockport, and also studied at the University of Oslo (UiO).
His extensive professional experience includes roles such as Associate Vice Chancellor for Educational Innovation at UC San Diego, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs for the College of Engineering at Oregon State University, Director of the Center for Applied Systems and Software (CASS) at Oregon State University, VP Engineering at Adherial, Inc., Board Member at Privly, Associate Professor Of Computer Science at Oregon State University, and various positions at the European Broadcasting Union, Microsoft Research, and Cypress Semiconductor.
