Carlos Jaimes

Carlos Jaimes, an accomplished business leader with over 10 years of experience working in both emerging and developed markets, has excelled in various key business roles centered around trading, new business development, strategy, and product management. He is a client-facing professional who possesses the vision to see the big picture while still drilling into the relevant underlying details. Carlos studied a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering Statistical Models at Universidad de Los Andes and pursued and completed his MBA in Business at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Throughout his professional career, Carlos has held various roles with companies such as Ecopetrol, J.P. Morgan, Investec, NEC, and Citibank.

In his most recent role as Business Developer at Ecopetrol, Carlos has exhibited his exceptional ability to lead global initiatives and build long-term value-add capabilities. Carlos also served as a Trader and International Business Development team member at Ecopetrol, where he contributed significantly to gaining experience in trading and expanding market share. Previously, Carlos was the EMEA Product Manager for Private Equity and Real Estate at J.P. Morgan, where he provided strategic advice on institutional FX trading, regulatory frameworks, operational risk management, and pricing models. Carlos's experiences have enabled him to grow and perform exceptionally in new roles as he leads and develops innovative initiatives. Outside of his work-life, Carlos enjoys spending his free time traveling and exploring new cultures.
