Carlos Naupari

Carlos E. Naupari is the founder and CEO of Velvet, a fintech company that operates a platform for buying and selling stakes in startups.12 He has a background in finance and technology, having previously worked as a country manager for Easy Taxi in Mexico City and as a private banker at UBS in New York.1

Naupari founded Velvet in 2021 in São Paulo, Brazil.2 The company initially focused on facilitating secondary market transactions for Latin American startups but has recently shifted its strategy to target global high-growth technology companies.12 Under Naupari's leadership, Velvet has partnered with Templum, a New York-based technology company, to provide offshore accredited investors access to stakes in companies like SpaceX, OpenAI, and Neuralink.12

From 2006 to 2021, he worked for organizations such as Halliburton, UBS, Rocket Internet SE, VARIV Capital, Rokk3r, Fligoo, and Rivercrest.4 His diverse experience spans across finance, technology, and entrepreneurship.
