Carlo Salerno is an education economist who has made a mission out of simplifying complex issues such as college affordability, completion and access into manageable ideas for policymakers to consider. With an extensive educational background, including a PhD in higher education and economics from Penn State University, and having studied economics as a BBA at Eastern Michigan University, Salerno understands the intricacies of the field.

Salerno has worked for various organizations over the years, including CampusLogic, a Strada Education Network where he was the Vice President of Analytics, Pave.com where he was the Head of Platform Growth, ESM (a Xerox Company) where he was a Director, and even Self, where he specialized in Higher education research and policy analysis. He was also a Co-Founder of BridgeSpan Financial LLC, a Senior Analyst at the US Government Accountability Office, and a Senior Research Associate at the University of Twente.

Salerno's passion lies in bridging the gap between complex economics and the average person, particularly in the realm of higher education. Whether through innovative solutions for policymakers or simply encouraging open dialogue and debate, Salerno is always looking to make a positive impact in education.
