Carlen Arima
HR Business Partner at New England Aquarium
Carlen Arima, a highly educated and experienced HR professional, has worked in a variety of roles focused on improving people operations and cultivating diversity and cultural humility in the workplace. Arima holds a Master of Science in Organization Development from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, as well as degrees in Sociology and Educational Studies from Bates College and the University of the South Pacific.
Arima has worked as an HR Employee Engagement Partner at the New England Aquarium, as well as in senior roles at City Year and Year Up, where she served as the Boston Co-Chair to Diversity and Cultural Humility Committee, Associate Director of Academics, and Massachusetts Regional Academic Program Lead, respectively. Arima has also held positions as Deputy Campus Director and National Teaching Fellow at Citizen Schools at the Washington Irving Middle School.
