Carleen Bowers

Dr. Carleen Bowers is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in research and development.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Duke University, a Postdoctoral Fellowship from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from the University of Virginia.

Currently, Dr. Bowers serves as the Senior Director, Head Research and Development Portfolio and Data Insights at Indigo, where she leads strategic initiatives in innovation and data analysis.

Her previous roles include serving as an Operational Partner at Qds Capital and holding various leadership positions at Indigo, such as Director of Research and Development Portfolio and Pipeline Operations in Microbial Innovation, Director of Systems Innovation, and Board Advisor.

Prior to her time at Indigo, she was actively involved in the scientific community, working at companies like Nanosonic Inc. as a Principal Scientist and Research Scientist, as well as gaining experience as a Venture Associate at Uva Seed Fund at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Bowers has also contributed to the academic field through her roles as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University and as a Graduate Student and Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Virginia.

Throughout her career, Dr. Bowers has demonstrated expertise in research, development, and strategic leadership, making her a valuable asset in the fields of innovation, data insights, and portfolio management.
