Carla Dowden

Carla Dowden is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in human resources and personnel management. She completed the Personnel Management Program Service School at Michigan State University in 1995 and has since acquired various certifications and experiences in the field. Carla has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Missouri State University. She has been actively involved in different organizations and boards, including serving as a YMCA Board Member since 2016 and as an Executive Board member since 2020. Carla has championed Open Book Management practices since 2010 and is skilled in Topgrading and recruiting 'A Players'. She is a proponent of embracing Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) since 2015. Carla also held the role of Human Resource Chair for the Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce in 2004 and has been a member of the Society for Human Resource Management since 2008 and the Human Resource of Central Missouri since 2002.
