Carl Gressum

Carl Gressum is a technology scout and the head of EU Tech Collaboration & Investments at Samsung Electronics, based in Staines, UK. He has been in this role since August 2014, where he focuses on engaging with technology innovators across Europe. His responsibilities include managing equity investments in deep tech startups, overseeing proof of concept projects with technology providers, and collaborating on academic research initiatives.1

Before joining Samsung, Gressum held various positions in technology analysis and consulting. He worked as a Technology Sourcing Specialist at Samsung from April 2011 to August 2014, where he identified and screened European technology providers relevant to Samsung Mobile. His earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Analyst at Ovum and a Research Analyst at Canalys, where he contributed to the development of advisory services in telecommunications and consumer electronics.1
