In June 2015, Carl Arkema decided to retire from education, marking the end of a fruitful and impactful career. In November 2015, he took a bold step by enrolling in the World Wide College of Auctioneering located in Mason City, Iowa. It was there that he successfully completed his auctioneering training, marking a significant career transition from educator to auctioneer.

Carl Arkema's educational background is robust and varied. He began his academic journey at Dordt College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. He further expanded his knowledge and expertise by obtaining a Master of Arts (MA) in Education and History from Indiana University. His commitment to professional growth did not stop with his retirement; he continued to seek new knowledge by attending auction school, thereby completing a critical step toward establishing himself in the world of auctioneering.
