Camille Straatman

Camille Straatman is a highly educated individual with a diverse academic background. She has a Master of Science - MSc in Social Science Research Methods (Sociology) from the University of Bristol. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities/Social Sciences from University College Maastricht (UCM) and another Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies/Critical Theory and Analysis from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In addition, Camille obtained a VWO Diploma in Natuur & Gezondheid from Amsterdams Lyceum.

Camille has held various roles in different organizations, showcasing her versatile skill set. She currently serves as the English News Editor at Radio Dabanga, demonstrating her proficiency in communication and journalism. Previously, she worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Bristol, highlighting her research capabilities. Camille also has experience working in the culinary field as a (Theatre) Cook at CC Amstel and in education and communication as an Intern at De Appel. Her involvement as the Head of Cultural Programme at The Waterhouse Gallery underscores her leadership skills and passion for cultural initiatives. Moreover, Camille has a background in academia, having worked as a Research Assistant at Universiteit Maastricht and as a Committee Member at Studium Generale at Universiteit Maastricht. Her internships at Jan Van Eyck Academie, PhDArts, and her role as a Recruiter at Credo fundraising BV have further enriched her professional profile.
